Several areas in Barbados are set to be highlighted in the upcoming season of a Netflix series.
Originals Publicity at Netflix, Rae Murillo, said on Wednesday that the filming of scenes for Outer Banks was under way in the country.
“I can confirm the filming under way in Barbados is for season 2 of the Netflix series Outer Banks. We aren’t able to share further information at this time, but please feel free to circle back in the coming months for anything further we may have to share,” Murillo told The Nation.
The confirmation came after the Royal Barbados Police Force alerted Barbadians about new traffic flows and parking restrictions in The City from Wednesday to Friday.
Filming in The City is scheduled to take place at Cavans Lane, Pierhead Lane, Chapel Lane and from Prince Alfred Street to Milk Market at James Street.
Outer Banks premiered on the streaming platform in 2020, starring Chase Stokes as John B, the ringleader of the Pogues, and Madelyn Cline as Sarah Cameron, who is John B’s love interest.
The teen/action-adventure follows a group of teenagers in the Outer Banks of North Carolina who are referred to as Pogues. The group is focused on finding out what happened to John B’s father, who went missing. (TG)
